The Macallan 1926 Fine and Rare sold for $75,000 recently currently reigns supreme as the most expensive whiskey in the world right now. If you want a drink of this, going to your local ABC store will not get you there.
The highest dollar amount ever paid for a bottle of tequila is $225,000. Ultra Premium Tequila Ley .925 is the brand and type, and this bottle was bought at an auction in Mexico city back in 2006. Packaged attractively in a gold and platinum plated bottle, this is a class act triple-distilled mix of 8, 10, and 12 year-old agave plants.
Million dollar vodka, anyone? When people think of vodka, they tend to also think of Russia, and yet surprisingly, the world’s most expensive bottle of this clear delight hails from the rolling highlands of Scotland. Diva Vodka comes in a bottle that looks like a perfume bottle. Every bottle of Diva contains precious and semi-precious stones, including real diamonds. The vodka is first triple distilled. Then it is run through a sand of crushed diamonds and other gems to give it a special character. The most expensive bottles of Diva will set you back about 1,000,000.
